Besiktas are again interested in signing Paul Onuachu after suffering a significant blow in their Europa League qualifying ambitions.

While most of us Saints fans have started entrusting the Nigerian recently, the Turkish Super Lig never doubted him. Notably, even during his toughest times at Southampton, he still attracted multiple exit offers.

Naturally, that interest hasn’t faded, especially now that Onuachu is hitting his best form. As per Sozcu reports(via Sport Witness), the player's long suitor Besiktas wants to launch fresh attempts to swoop him away from Southampton.

And what better time than this when the Saints are tipped to depart the forward this summer? And if the situation wasn’t already tempting enough, Besiktas' ambitions alone could lure Onuachu.

So, currently, the Turkish giants rank 4th in the Super Lig campaign, feeling close to a Europa League berth. Needless to say, they don't want to miss on it this time, having slipped last season in the end phases.

Yet, they seem to be heading down the same path again, having endured two consecutive losses and now sitting level on points with Eyupspor.

That's precisely why Ole Gunnar's Besiktas desperately needs Onuachu. To get back on track with the in-form forward's goal-scoring prowess.
