The Three Lions are into the last eight after a dramatic turnaround to beat Slovakia

England have kept their hopes of Euro 2024 glory alive with a dramatic comeback to beat Slovakia.

The Three Lions had looked set to make an embarrassing last-16 exit from the tournament on Sunday night after Ivan Schranz’s first-half goal in Gelsenkirchen.

However, Jude Bellingham popped up with the most dramatic of last-gasp bicycle kicks to spare Gareth Southgate’s blushes and force extra time, where captain Harry Kane headed in early to complete a remarkable turnaround.

While yet another disappointing performance will have done little to silence the doubters after an underwhelming group stage campaign, such a thrilling comeback could give England some much-needed confidence as they gear up for next weekend’s quarter-finals.

So who will England play next and how can you watch all the action?

Who will England play in the quarter-finals?

England will now play Switzerland in the quarter-finals of Euro 2024, with kick-off scheduled for 5pm BST on Saturday, July 5 at the Dusseldorf Arena.

The Swiss were the first team to book their last-eight spot at the tournament after stunning defending champions Italy 2-0 in Berlin on Saturday night.

If England come through the game against Switzerland, then they will tee up a semi-final showdown in Dortmund with an 8pm kick-off on Wednesday, July 10.

That game would come against the winners of Romania/Netherlands vs Austria/Turkey.

Win that too, and England would be through to the final at Berlin’s Olympiastadion on July 14. But there’s a long way to go for that.

There is no third-place play-off at the European Championship.
