Liverpool are on the verge of signing Valencia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili.
That’s according to a report from the Athletic on Monday which claims that the Georgian goalkeeper will undergo a medical with the club today.
Mamardashvili has been with Valencia since 2021, playing nearly 100 LaLiga games in that time and impressing with his command of the area and shot-stopping ability.
The 23-year-old came into the wider public consciousness this summer where he starred for his nation in their first ever European Championship.
The Athletic claims that Arne Slot’s side will pay a fee €30m plus €5m in add-ons for the 23-year-old, who will then be loaned immediately back to Los Che for this season.
Mamardashvili will then officially join Liverpool next summer and become competition for Alisson.
