The Poland men’s national team were handed a favourable draw for the qualification stage of the 2024 European Championship in Frankfurt, Germany. Czesław Michniewicz’s side were placed in Group E, alongside Czechia, Albania, Faroe Islands and Moldova!
By virtue of maintaining their UEFA Nations League Division A status with a win against Wales last month, Poland were placed in Pot 1 for Sunday’s draw. But while this theoretically meant that the Biało-czerwoni missed out on being paired against the continent’s top nations, there were still a handful of teams placed into Pot 2 which the Poles were keen to avoid.
But while as good as the draw could perhaps have been, there are still some tricky ties for Poland. Czech Republic have historically been a tough opponent for the Poles, while Albania showed in World Cup qualifying only last year that they shouldn’t be underestimated.

Still, with two of the five teams qualifying for the tournament to be held in Germany, the PZPN will be relatively confident of securing a fifth successive appearance at the European Championship.
