Belgium beat Romania 2-0 with Youri Tielemans and Kevin de Bruyne on target to leave everyone in Group E on three points, despite another Romelu Lukaku disallowed goal.

Incredibly, after two rounds of games Romania, Belgium, Slovakia and Ukraine are all on three points.

It took just 75 seconds to break through, as Roma striker Lukaku with his back to goal laid it off for Youri Tielemans to drill in from the edge of the penalty area.

Romania fought back, ex-Genoa defender Radu Dragusin’s header fingertipped over the bar, while Kevin de Bruyne’s curler bent inches past the far post.

Lukaku had two goals disallowed by VAR in the opening shock defeat to Slovakia, and then another here because his toes were offside on a De Bruyne through ball.

Parma forward Dennis Man fired straight at the goalkeeper when sent clear soon after, but De Bruyne did manage to double Belgium’s lead when pouncing on a long goal kick and at full stretch managing to beat the on-rushing Florin Nita.

Denis Alibec had managed to flick it beyond the ‘keeper, only to be denied by a desperate Timothy Castagne goal-line clearance.
