Etihad Stadium Level and Block titles to change from next season

Article image:Etihad Stadium Level and Block titles to change from next season

We wish to inform fans that we are updating the titles of our current level, block, and row numbers as a result of the Etihad Stadium’s expansion.

Season Ticket Members will continue to enter the Etihad Stadium via the same turnstile, travel to the same level and then find their way to the same seat.

The only change will be that the numbers outside the levels, blocks and rows will be visually different.

This change is the consequence of the Etihad Stadium’s expansion and the introduction of a new single upper tier, as well as new hotel and commercial space, and the need to ensure consistency across all levels of the stadium for all fans.

Therefore, from next season onwards, the Etihad Stadium’s levels will be as follows:

  • Level 1 will become Level 0
  • Level 2 will become Level 1
  • Hospitality Box-Level will become Level 2
  • Level 3 will remain the same

As well as complying with health and safety guidance, which recommends consistent labelling of levels as part of a stadium’s configuration, we have also received extensive feedback from disabled supporters about the current level titles, which can create confusion, especially when using the lift, as levels are not clearly identifiable.

As a result of changes to levels, the existing block numbering system will also need to be amended, as the first number represents the level. For example, Block 130 will become Block 030, and Block 230 will become Block 130. Blocks in Level 3 are not impacted.

Finally, we are also amending the labelling for rows from the current letter system to numbers stadium wide. This is primarily due to the expanded single upper tier North Stand which will include a total of 59 rows.

Again, we wish to stress that these changes will have no physical impact on the seat a fan sits in, or the way they travel to and from it. There will also be no impact on pricing as a result of the changes.

However, we understand that some fans feel a sentimental connection to certain numbers, especially their blocks, and we appreciate everyone’s understanding as we make these stadium-wide adjustments.

Should any fans have questions about what this change means to them, we encourage them to contact our Fan Support team by calling (0)161 444 1894 or by emailing mancity@mancity.com.

All our disabled supporters and over-65s will also receive a letter directly from the Club containing the key information.
