According to a report from Sacha Tavolieri, Frenchman Etienne Camara (21) was pushing for a move to Championship side Plymouth Argyle on transfer deadline day after he was convinced to join the club by the head coach Miron Muslić.
However, he has been blocked from leaving Royal Charleroi Sporting Club by the club’s director Mehdi Bayat. The director believed that it was too late in the window and that the club would not be able to adequately replace Camara in the remaining hours.
Camara had been a consistent presence in Charleroi’s team for the first half of the season. However, his game time has become far more limited since the 9th of November when he picked up a suspension for too many yellow cards.
Following his suspension, Camara has struggled to return to the team and has instead been surviving on piecemeal minutes for the club, as he has played only 19 minutes of football across four games since his return.
