Cagliari have officially signed new goalkeeper Gennaro Borrelli as a free agent, while there are reports they are close to a €7m deal for Inter striker Sebastiano Esposito.
The Sardinians completed the swoop for Borrelli this evening, as he was out of contract following the bankruptcy of his parent club Brescia.
At the same time, the Sardinians loaned goalkeeper Alen Sherri to Serie B side Frosinone, with an option to buy and a counter-option included.

According to Sky Sport Italia pundit Gianluca Di Marzio, Cagliari are very close to agreeing terms with Inter to purchase striker Sebastiano Esposito for a fee of €7m plus a percentage of any future sale.
The 23-year-old is one of three brothers in Italian football, as Salvatore is at Spezia, while Pio is expected to remain at Inter after impressing in the FIFA Club World Cup.
Sebastiano spent last season on loan at Empoli, where he scored eight goals in 33 Serie A appearances.
It was only the latest of many loans for Esposito, along with SPAL, Venezia, FC Basel, RSC Anderlecht, Bari and Sampdoria.
