Ahead of Barcelona’s first home game of the new season, coach Ernesto Valverde wants a party atmosphere at the Camp Nou.
His side take on Arsenal on Sunday in the traditional Gamper Trophy curtain-raiser to the new campaign.
New first team faces Antoine Griezmann, Frenkie de Jong, Neto and Moussa Wagué are all in line to make their home debuts.
It promises to be an occasion to enjoy for all concerned, including the man in the dugout.
“There is always a very good atmosphere at the Gamper Trophy game,” Valverde told the club’s website.
“People always have the urge to watch football after a few months away and they want to see the new signings.
“We hope it is a party and everybody ends up happy. We look forward to playing at home in front of our own fans.
“The new players will be excited about that, playing here and the others can come back and start with a good taste in their mouth.”
In addition to his entire available first team squad, Valverde has also promoted five B team players for Sunday’s game.
They are Juan Miranda, Carlés Perez, Riqui Puig, Abel Ruiz and Álex Collado.
