When he eventually does leave Borussia Dortmund, Erling Haaland won’t be short of suitors.
Every big club in Europe will be vying for the 21-year-old’s signature with agent Mino Raiola hoping to spark a bidding war for his client’s signature.
And according to a new report from Goal España on Friday, Haaland’s preference would be a move to Real Madrid this summer.
Raiola went on record earlier this week when he said Haaland “loves Spain” and the Norwegian has reportedly told those close to him that he would love a move to the Bernabéu one day.
But Los Blancos won’t be the only project of interest to Haaland, who is also said to love English football and has also attracted serious interest from the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea.
It seems likely but not guaranteed that Haaland will leave Dortmund in the summer of 2022 and until that day comes, there will plenty more speculation like today’s.
In the meantime, BVB are out of the Champions League but well in the hunt for the Bundesliga title, with coach Marco Rose confirming that Haaland could make a surprise return from injury this weekend having missed the club’s last seven matches with a hip-flexor injury.
“We will have Erling on the bus to Wolfsburg,” Rose told reporters on Friday.
“He feels good. But it will amount to a short stint at most.”
