Haaland's previous deal ran until 2027, but the 24-year-old will reportedly sign an incredible nine-and-a-half-year extension, which could keep him at the club until he is 34-years-old.

Ornstein reports that the release clauses contained in Haaland's previous deal with City have been removed, and his new contract is set to be one of the most lucrative in the history of sport.

Haaland has regularly been linked with Real Madrid since joining City from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2022, but this new deal appears to have warded the Spanish giants off.

During his time at City, he has scored 111 goals in 126 games, winning two Premier League titles, the Champions League and the FA Cup.
