Borussia Dortmund coach Marco Rose has confirmed Erling Haaland is set for a spell on the sidelines with a hip flexor injury.
Haaland played the full 90 minutes as Dortmund were beaten by Ajax in the Champions League on Tuesday and speaking ahead of Saturday’s trip to Arminia Bielefeld, Rose confirmed the injury news.
“Erling Haaland won’t play and will be absent for a few weeks with a hip flexor injury,” said the coach in his pre-match press conference.
Rose also confirmed BVB will be without Thomas Meunier this weekend due to injury, while Nico Schulz will be out for a while with a torn hamstring.
