The Norwegian national team have played down any injury concerns surrounding Manchester City striker Erling Haaland.

The 23-year-old was captured limping out of a training session in discomfort on Tuesday ahead of Norway’s international friendlies against the Czech Republic and Slovakia later this month.

Haaland had also been brought off during City’s FA Cup win over Newcastle prior to the international break, although manager Pep Guardiola played down any concerns about his fitness.

“He is not my player anymore from now on, what they [Norway] will decide will be fine,” said Guardiola.

“They know that they fought a lot and train a lot, a lot of adrenaline and concentration to arrive in this position. They know they are friendly games and they have to handle it wisely. Hopefully they can do it.”

City are due to meet Premier League title rivals Arsenal on Sunday March 31 in another huge game at the top of league and travel to Real Madrid in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final on Tuesday April 2.

Kevin De Bruyne and Ederson are other injury concerns for City but Norway team doctor Ola Sand told TV 2 Sport there was “no problem” in regards to Haaland.
