After losing out to Lionel Messi at both the Ballon d’Or and The Best FIFA awards, Erling Haaland finally got his flowers on Friday.
The Manchester City and Norway striker was named Best Men’s Player of the Year at the Globe Soccer Awards in Dubai.
Haaland beat Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo to the award, and thanked his club, team-mates and the fans when he picked up the gong.
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola won Coach of the Year at the ceremony, with the Premier League and European champions also winning Best Club.
