Sassuolo and Croatia international defender Martin Erlic is on the move and he seems set for Bologna rather than Torino.
Multiple sources are confident this evening that the Neroverdi set the price-tag and confirmed they will accept a fee of €8m.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano maintains the deal has been done with Bologna for €7m and a medical has already been scheduled.
However, Sportitalia pundit Alfredo Pedullà insists that while Bologna are definitely in the running, Torino are also still there and could be ready to offer €8m plus bonuses.
He notes that if the two bids are fairly similar, then Erlic will be given the opportunity to choose his next destination.
In that case, Bologna would be the presumptive favourite, as they have qualified for the Champions League and their new coach is Vincenzo Italiano, who already worked with him over two seasons at Spezia from 2019 to 2021.
The 26-year-old impressed when playing for Croatia at EURO 2024 and now has nine senior caps for his country.
He joined the Sassuolo youth academy from Parma in 2015 and had loan spells at Sudtirol and Spezia.
