Erin Cuthbert has silenced the home crowd in Chelsea’s Champions League semi-final against Barcelona.

It was the Blaugrana who enjoyed most of the ball in the opening 45 minutes, going close on at least three occasions.

But Emma Hayes’ side took the lead against the run of play with just five minutes of the first half to go.

Cuthbert was the goalscorer as she fired in a brilliant effort from the edge of the area into the top right-hand corner.
