Manchester United coach Erik ten Hag has won the Premier League Manager of the Month award for February 2023. It is his second PL MOTM win in his first season in England.

The former Ajax manager has awoken the sleeping giant of a club. He has led them to the EFL Cup, their first trophy in six years. They are still in the FA Cup too.

Ten Hag and his men put one of their legs into the quarter-final of the Europa League with a 4-1 win over Copa del Rey champions Real Betis yesterday.

Astonishingly, Ten Hag and United did not suffer any league defeat in February. The 53-year-old led his side to claim ten points from their four matches.

They beat Crystal Palace, Leicester City, and Leeds United. Their only draw came in the reverse Leeds fixture. United came from two goals down to secure a 2-2 draw.

Ten Hag beat out competition from Antonio Conte and Marco Silva to his second PL MOTM after winning his first in September 2022. He snags the award from Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta who won the award in January.

Also, the Manager of the Month award is a double cause for celebration as Marcus Rashford won the Player of the Month Award.

It is the 25-year-old’s third PL POTM award of the season after winning it in January. He had won the award alongside Ten Hag in September.

Rashford has netted 26 goals and assisted seven more this season. He has become a talismanic figure for the Mancs. The England international scored five goals in United’s four matches in February.

Rashford scored in every February league game to clinch the award. He is now the first man, alongside Mohamed Salah (2017/18), to win it thrice in a single campaign.

Rashford has four PL POTM awards in total. Only six players in the league’s history have more.
