Erik ten Hag took to the Old Trafford pitch to address the club’s faithful support after the Dutchman guided his side into a third-place finish in the Premier League on Sunday.

Ten Hag will be leading his men into the Champions League next season but United have one more game to play this season and the manager was quick to point that out in his post-match speech at the Theatre of Dreams.

United have ended the campaign with a near-flawless record at Old Trafford, with the opening game in August being the only fixture United were defeated in.

Speaking directly to the Old Trafford faithful, Ten Hag promised his side would turn up and fight in the first-ever all-Manchester FA Cup final next week.

“I want two say thank you to our players, I think they played [well] all season and I want to thank you, and thank the support of the staff. Thank you all,” Ten Hag said on the pitch, according to the official Manchester United website.

“We have formed a really strong bond during the season at Old Trafford and also away, so I want to thank you for the contribution, for backing us, for the support, and it was great, so thank you.

“There’s still one game to go and I am sure that these players will give everything to be successful next week. I’m sure we have a really good chance to take the cup back to Old Trafford.”

Ten Hag will now begin preparing his side for next week’s gargantuan cup final and ahead of the game, he surprised supporters by confirming that winger Antony may be available for the game.

Antony was withdrawn from the 4-1 win over Chelsea earlier this week with what looked like a serious injury but thankfully, the issue was not as bad as initially feared.

Lisandro Martinez has been ruled out for the last month and the Argentine will not be fit for the final but he is expected to be ready for the start of pre-season.
