Chivas are facing a complicated scenario regarding the issue of signing reinforcements for the 2021 Apertura tournament due to the economic hardships caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Mexican giants are also attempting to completely rebuild their squad this summer and will require the use of several player swaps in order to do so.
According to journalist Rubén Rodriguez, the amount of cash at Chivas’ disposal is much more limited than originally thought, which could lead them to miss out on Pachuca’s Érick Aguirre.
The newspaper Reforma claims that Pachuca are much more interested in receiving cash for Aguirre instead of a player swap.
It was believed that Chivas have been attempting to send the Tuzos Alejandro Mayorga and Fernando Beltrán.
Fortunately for Chivas, Pachuca still has $3.5m of Chivas’ money from the Pocho Guzmán deal that fell through due to his doping case.
