Pépé has been one of the stand-out performers in Ligue 1 over the past year and has started this season in stunning form – netting four and assisting a further three goals in his opening five games.
There had been suggestions that both Sevilla and Real Betis were interested in the Ivory Coast international, but now it’s been revealed that the Camp Nou club are also keen.
A report in Mundo Deportivo has claimed that Abidal has admitted to liking the look of Pépé conceding to their journalists that the rumours “are true” and that the Blaugrana believe the player to be “very, very interesting”.
Having only joined Lille in 2017 from Angers and with a contract that runs until 2022 it’s thought that Les Dogues would command a figure of at least €50m for the wide forward.
