The Dutch FA have revealed plans to resume the current Eredivisie campaign on 19 June, though they won’t allow fans to enter the stadium.

The top clubs in the league, including Ajax, had asked for the season to come to a close for obvious health concerns but the KNVB are committed to finishing the current campaign in the Netherlands’ top-two flights.

Last week, neighbouring Belgium proposed to bring their season to a close, with Club Brugge named champions as they lead by 15 points.

This will need to be approved by 15 April, with UEFA threatening to ban clubs from leagues who finish early from European competition.

Ajax and AZ are currently joint-leaders on top of the table with 56 points with nine games to play, with Ajax leading on goal differential.
