Eredivisie preview | Go Ahead Eagles vs AZ Alkmaar

Article image:Eredivisie preview | Go Ahead Eagles vs AZ Alkmaar

AZ Alkmaar have the chance to go top in the Eredivisie if results go their way and they can pick up a win against Go Ahead Eagles this midweek.

Pascal Jensen’s side are just two points behind leaders Feyenoord and will be pleased to learn PSV Eindhoven lost to Emmen the day before their trip to De Adelaarshorst. Ideally, AZ fans would have liked to face another side as they have failed to beat Go Ahead in the last 10 years. However, the visitors have won four of their five outings in all competitions.

For the hosts, the Eagles will be keen to maintain their consistent league form which has put the side 10th in the league. Rene Hake’s side are undefeated in their last 13 matches in all competitions and have failed to score in just one of those matches. They will be looking towards striker Bobby Adekanye to continue his fine service with nine goal involvements already this season.

Here’s both teams’ current form in all competitions:

Go Ahead Eagles: D-W-W-D-D

AZ Alkmaar: W-W-W-D-W
