Despite a miserable start to 2023, PSV Eindhoven could find themselves top of the Eredivisie on Tuesday night if they can pick up a big win at De Oude Meerdijk. Ruud van Nistelrooy’s side travel to face relegation candidates FC Emmen who are yet to pick up a league win in their last four outings.
PSV are currently third and just three points behind league leaders Feyenoord who could go second if Boeren win by at least three goals. There is still plenty to address at PSV at the moment but a 1-0 win at Vitesse is a step in the right direction as they look to address the gaps in the attack left by Noni Madueke and Cody Gakpo who have moved to the Premier League.
For FC Emmen, they will be keen to remove themselves from the relegation zone sooner rather than later. Head coach Dick Lukkien saw his side lose 4-1 in the reverse fixture at the start of the season and are currently sitting in the relegation play-off spot, level on points with Volendam and Groningen.
Here are the teams current form in the Eredivise:
Emmen: L-D-L-D-W
PSV: W-D-D-L-W

The host will be without Jeff Hardeveled and Maikel Kieftenbeld, who have both suffered serious ACL injuries, for the rest of the season as they face long spells in the treatment room. To add to Lukkien’s woes, new signing Oussama Darfalou is a doubt while Metehan Guclu (knee) and Mart Leider (ligament) are out too.
The visitors will be without Kjell Peersman (back) and Olivier Boscagli (knee) ahead of their trip.
