Angelo Ogbonna scored a goal in the 73rd minute to hand West Ham United a 1-0 victory over Everton in the English Premier League. This victory takes West Ham above Everton in the Premier League table.

Rafa Benitez made two changes from the draw against Manchester United in the previous round. Ben Godfrey replaced Yerry Mina in the centre-back position and Coleman came in for the Colombian. Youngster Anthony Gordon was replaced by Alex Iwobi.
Salomon Rondon, Alex Iwobi and Demarai Gray played closer to each other up-front. Townsend was playing wide on the right. Allan played as a defensive midfielder and Doucoure played as the central midfielder.
David Moyes was without the injured Vladimir Coufal. The Czech player was replaced by Ben Johnson in the right-back position.

The Hammers had more possession of the ball and the passing accuracy was more than their opponents. The away team created more chances and the xG rate was more than the opponents. Both teams attempted 33 dribbles and the win % was almost the same.

Everton contested 16 loose ball duels in the middle third and won ten duels. Lucas Digne won all of his loose ball duels.
The highest number of defensive duels were contested on the right side of the defence. Kurt Zouma won three defensive duels.
Aaron Cresswell contested seven aerial duels and the left-back won six out of them. Tomas Soucek won 50% of his aerial duels.
Angelo Ogbonna, Soucek and Antonio won three loose ball duels each for the away side.
West Ham United created more chances and created constant threats. They scored a second-half to earn three points and are now in the seventh position with 14 points and just ahead of Everton.
