Manchester United fans react as they win 2-1 against West Ham

Manchester United have picked up all three points after gaining a last gasp victory against West Ham United today.

The Red Devils were incredible from start to finish and showed resilience in their ranks. However, it did not seem like the Old Trafford outfit were going to continue their incredible away run of victories when Said Benrahma opened the scoring after just half an hour.

The Algerian shot from outside the box, but it caught a lucky deflection off the chest of Raphael Varane, leaving David de Gea in no man’s land, and the ball ended up in the back of the net. The Manchester-based club were always looking like they were going to retaliate and just 5 minutes after West Ham’s goal, who should score but United’s talisman in Cristiano Ronaldo.

Bruno Fernandes whipped in a beautiful cross, and Ronaldo, who was right on the edge of the offside line, poked the ball and pulled out a great save from Lukasz Fabianski, but the Portuguese ended up scoring on the rebound.

After an enthralling first half, the Red Devils were keen on a second goal, but a resolute defence of Kurt Zouma and Angelo Ogbonna were resistant to everything for the most part. However, Solskjaer then brought on Jesse Lingard 15 minutes from full-time, and the Englishman repaid the faith of his Norwegian boss by scoring the winner with a curled shot into the top corner.

The game was not all over yet as Luke Shaw conceded a penalty in added time after the ball hit his hand. However, David de Gea saved the penalty ensuring the three points for United.
