Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca has been speaking to the media this week ahead of tonight’s match against Southampton in the league.

It’s become a huge match after a terrible run of form and another defeat in the Premier League at the weekend.

EXCLUSIVE! Chelsea will ‘go big’ for three positions in the summer with host of names revealed!!

The Blues lost 2-1 against Aston Villa on Saturday evening after being 1-0 up inside the first 20 minutes. I think Chelsea fans would have just expected even at that point, that their side were still going to lose this game, and they did.

Chelsea could not score and were really terrible. Even Cole Palmer was terrible, and he was seen trying to blame others for a bad pass that HE himself made. This just about sums everything up right now.

Tonight’s game is now so important and a big must win for Maresca and his players – he will need Cole Palmer to step up again and rediscover his form.

Palmer to want out?

Cole Palmer and Christopher Nkunku complain about a decision.

A lot has been said about Palmer and what he will want to do if Chelsea don’t make Champions League football for next season, with many believing he will want out.

And Maresca does not sound too convinced that he will want to stay either!

Maresca said:

“First of all, we need to see how we finish. And then in case we don’t finish in the top four, we’ll see if Cole is happy or not happy.”

“I don’t think that Cole is worried in this moment about next year that he wants to play in the Champions League. Cole is just focused on how he can help the team.”
