Enock Mwepu farewell interview

Enock Mwepu, the Computer, is about as oiled as a midfield machine can be. With typical modesty he has played a part in defining the archetype of a Salzburg player. With his tireless consistency and his constant grin, he has won a place in the hearts of our fans. He has made something great of his reasonable promise in Salzburg, which makes it difficult to take the next step, even if Enock knows that it is the right one:

It is a really big step for me that I am really looking forward to. Of course it not easy to leave such a special club. I have developed incredibly here, and matured from a boy into a man. Everything that I have learned here gives me a good feeling as I start a new chapter of my career.

Enock is following closely in the footsteps of his buddy Patson Daka in moving to England. It's at least a couple of hours between Leicester and Brighton, which will make their bromance a long-distance relationship. It's no accident that they are both taking the next step at the same time:

When Patson and I first came here, we swore that we would make the first team. We kept on pushing each other the whole time. We knew as well that at some point the time would come to leave Salzburg.
