In a recent report, The Sun has mentioned that Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane is showing interest in a move to Manchester United. It is believed that the Red Devils are eyeing a blockbuster move for the England international, who is at the top of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s summer wishlist (via The Sun).

Kane’s Up And Down Season At The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

The England international has experienced a productive yet frustrating season at North London as he has produced several match-winning displays for Spurs, but all of his good work has once again not translated to success in terms of silverware.

Kane has participated in 45 matches for the London giants this term, netting 31 goals and grabbing 16 assists in all competitions. The London-born sensation has been quite consistent with his offensive contributions as he is averaging 4.0 shots, 1.4 key passes, and 1.4 dribbles per 90 minutes in Premier League football this season. However, he has been guilty of giving away the ball at times when distributing it in the final third, as evidenced by his pass completion rate of 70.1% in top-flight football (stats via whoscored).

At the moment, Kane is in dire need of a change of scenery so that he can finally get a realistic chance of winning some major trophies at the highest level. Man United will be an ideal destination for him as he will be surrounded by some of the best players in the country. Plus, he would be joining a club that has a history of being serial winners in English football.

Should The Red Devils Get Him On Board This Summer?

Kane boasts decent pace and can keep the opposition defenders occupied with his running and hunger to get inside the penalty box. He is a natural finisher in front of the opponent’s goal and does not hesitate to set up chances for his teammates when they are in space in the final third.

A striker of Kane’s goal-scoring prowess and leadership ability will undoubtedly be a dream option for the Red Devils to consider this summer. The 53-time England international can win matches on his own and is not afraid of the bright lights. He often rises to the occasion but is yet to taste success at the top level.

Hence, it makes sense for Man United to orchestrate a move to get Kane on board this summer. He will be an automatic starter in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s first team and could help the Mancunian giants end their long wait for a Premier League title next season.
