Dogs, people in various states of undress – these are your usual pitch invaders.
But in an astonishing moment on Saturday, an alpaca stopped a game between Carlton Athletic and Ilkley Town in the lower leagues of English football.

The match in the West Yorkshire Premier League was momentarily halted yesterday when the South American mammal bounced on to the pitch, and thankfully this brilliant moment was captured on camera.
Reports that it is starting their next game at left-back are unconfirmed.
