Itâs been a difficult few years to be a Reading fan.
Not so long ago, the Berkshire club were riding high in the Championship and looking to make a return to the Premier League.
But a series of bad decisions from their absentee owner, Dai Yongge, has seen the Royals slide down the divisions with multiple points penalties.
Reading now go into 2024/25 in League One having finished nine points clear of relegation to the fourth tier last time out.
Still though, the clubâs social media admin has found time for a laugh with their latest video teasing next seasonâs away kit.
The Select Car Leasing Stadium side will be playing in purple on the road next term and as such, have opted to tease the jersey announcement with this frankly sensational clip.
The video in question is from 2017 when local man Steve Smith â who survived, unhurt â was run over by a purple bus in the city centre.
It went viral seven yearsâ ago and has now made a reappearance ahead of Readingâs kit announcement which will come on Wednesday.
Well done to all involved ⊠apart from the bus driver.
