England Womenâs captain Steph Houghton was left furious when her post-match interview was disrupted by USWNT midfielder Lindsey Horan on Tuesday.
Houghtonâs 84th-minute penalty was saved by Alyssa Naeher as Phil Nevilleâs side lost 2-1 to the reigning world champions in Lyon.
And the England captainâs disappointment turned to anger when her interview with talkSPORT after the game was cut short by Horan celebrating exuberantly in the background.
âThere was no need for that, was there really? Ridiculous. Thatâs disrespectful man,â the Manchester City defender said.
âAnyway⊠can I go now please?â
The USWNT will now face either Sweden or the Netherlands in Sundayâs final and Jill Ellisâs side have also come in for criticism for the way they celebrated the victory over England, most notably Alex Morganâs âtea-sippingâ celebration after netting her sideâs second goal.
