Bethany England has been named your HSBC Player of the Match after Sunday’s Barclays Women’s Super League victory over West Ham United.

Netting her second goal of the 2024/25 campaign, our captain collected her second award of the season as she came top of a poll of votes submitted by our supporters via our Official App.

Having fallen behind to Riko Ueki’s opener in the first half, Bethany kick started our come back at Brisbane Road as she netted the equaliser six minutes after the break, with some quick thinking inside the six-yard box to slot home from close range.

Leading by example on the pitch until the very end, the forward went on to complete 90 minutes in the London derby as we claimed the three points thanks to an injury-time own goal from Camila Saez.
