England vs Slovakia Euro 2024 Preview: Odds And Best Bets

The Three Lions will take to the field hoping to claim a quarter final berth against either Switzerland or Italy.

England vs Slovakia Latest Odds

England haven’t exactly set the tournament alight so far, with three lacklustre performances in the group stage. That being said, they’ve yet to be beaten and have conceded just one goal. Most England fans would’ve taken this draw before the tournament but it’s now up to the players to prove that their slow start was just that and advance to the next round.

Slovakia qualified as one of the best third placed finishers, ending up in third place in Group E. Their opening day victory over Belgium proved to be vital, both in terms of picking up three points but proving to the rest of the competition that they have the ability to take a result from Europe’s elite.

What are the best bets for England vs Slovakia?

Phil Foden and Jude Bellingham Over 1.5 shots each – 17/10 with Bet365

There’s been much said in the past two weeks over who should be playing in the number 10 role for England, with the camps pretty evenly split between Foden and Bellingham. A slight change in shape could release both players from their shackles and both players to have over 1.5 shots is a good value shout at 17/10.

Ondrej Duda to be booked – 21/10 with Bet365

Duda has committed 7 fouls in the group stage, picking up one booking and that makes his price of 21/10 to get booked looks a little enticing. He’ll play in the centre of the pitch, where he’ll have to control the likes of Bellingham and Declan Rice and a booking could well be on the cards.

Key players expected to impact the England vs Slovakia match

Harry Kane

There has been plenty of criticism over Kane dropping too deep when England are in possession but the Bayern Munich striker still carries the biggest goal threat for the Three Lions. Kane’s presence in front of goal will be vital to England’s chances and he could have to sacrifice his willingness to drop deep to help the build up.

Ivan Schranz

Schranz has scored two of Slovakia’s three goals so far in the campaign, proving his importance to them in the final third. With England expected to dominate the ball, Schranz might have to cut an isolated figure at times but he’ll have to keep concentration in order to capitalise when Slovakia create chances.
