England not giving up on Chelsea duo Mount, Chilwell facing Germany

England are not giving up on the idea of Mason Mount and Ben Chilwell being involved against Germany in the round of 16.

The Three Lions are preparing for the Euro 2020 knockout tie on Tuesday with the backdrop of the two Chelsea players having to isolate due to COVID-19 protocols.

Mount and Chilwell spent time with Scottish star Billy Gilmour after the two sides played in the group stages.

Gilmour then tested positive for COVID-19.

The FA are trying to find a Premier League precedent where Mount and Chilwell can participate in small group, socially distanced training in the lead up to the game.

They would then be fit enough for the match and out of isolation by Tuesday, per the Daily Express.
