England Break Records on Route to Euro 2024 Final

England became the first country to reach the final of a football major tournament having been behind in every game of the knock-out stages.
Southgate’s side stuttered through Group C with five points from Denmark, Slovenia, and Serbia but qualified top of the group.
In the Round of 16, England played Group E’s third place, Slovakia.
England went behind to Slovakia in Gelsenkirchen with a 25th minute goal by Ivan Schranz.
England needed an equaliser in second half added time by captain, Harry Kane to salvage extra-time before Jude Bellingham’s overhead heroics to seal the victory.

Only Germany have made more final appearances with six.
Spain are favourites but England will not lie down.
England are only the fourth country to reach successive European Championship finals and could become the first nation to win an international tournament conceding first in every knockout game.
Southgate will be hoping his England Men score first, but he has instilled a fighting spirit that means his side never know when they are beaten.
England are unbeaten in the six European Championship games when conceding first (W5, D1).
England may not be favourites against Spain, but they never give up.
History beckons if Southgate’s side can win from behind again.
