England will take on Wales in a friendly at Wembley in October, it has been announced.
Thomas Tuchel’s side will host their local rivals on 9 October.
The two sides most recently met at the 2022 World Cup, where England prevailed as 3-0 winners in their group stage clash.
It will be part of both nations’ preparations for their World Cup qualifying campaign. The Three Lions take on Latvia and Wales will face Belgium a few days later.
England have also announced another friendly, with Tuchel’s side set to take on Senegal at Nottingham Forest’s the City Ground in June.
It will be the first time that a men’s senior match has been played at the stadium in 84 years.
“The games against Senegal and Wales will present good challenges for us against two very different opponents,” Tuchel said.
“Facing a strong African team in a passionate city with rich football heritage and then a derby match at the iconic Wembley; two big occasions that can only help us on the road to the World Cup.
“While I know Wembley is our home, I also understand the importance of taking the team around the country when we are able to and the opportunity to experience playing at a famous old English stadium, such as the City Ground, is one we can all look forward to.”
Tuchel will take charge of the Three Lions for the first time in March when England start their World Cup qualification campaign against Albania.
They will then face Latvia a few days later, with both games taking place at Wembley Stadium.
The next internationals then take place in June, with Tuchel’s team travelling to Andorra before the friendly against Senegal.
September will see England face Andorra again before taking on Serbia in World Cup qualifiers.
And after the friendly with Wales, they will finish the year by facing Latvia, Serbia and Albania again.
