England played out a goalless draw against Emma Hayes' USA side in front of 78,346 spectators at Wembley Stadium on Saturday evening.
It was the former Chelsea boss' first match against her home nation since taking charge of the USWNT over the summer, but neither side could break the deadlock in the capital. Alyssa Thompson, Rose Lavelle and Casey Krueger were among those to have opportunities for the visitors, while they also had a penalty overturned by VAR in the second half.
England, on the other hand, went close through Jess Park, Alessia Russo and Georgia Stanway, but ultimately struggled in the final third against a strong USA defence.
Sarina Wiegman's side will now gear up for a friendly against Euro 2025 hosts Switzerland on Tuesday evening ahead of next summer's tournament.
