Real Madrid’s Brazilian wonderkid Endrick is finally starting to find a bit of form for Los Blancos, despite still not getting many minutes.
The 18-year-old has managed to net twice for Carlo Ancelotti’s side despite barely having played 45 minutes of football for the Madrid giants.
And now that he may be set to receive even more minutes, Real Madrid could be set to fork out if he continues to get himself onto the scoresheet.
This is because as per Diario AS, Real Madrid has a clause in Endrick’s contract which sees his former club Palmeiras receive extra payments on certain goalscoring milestones.
The deal sees the Brazilian club net €1.5 million for every five goals that Endrick scores for Madrid, up to a total of €18 million should he score 60 goals during his time in the Madrid capital.
The Spanish club also had to pay Palmeiras €1.5 million for Endrick’s first call-up to the Brazil national team, which took place last year.
The deal with Palmeiras could see the total fee for Endrick rise to €72 million should several other requirements be met, but interestingly, there is no clause should the young star ever manage to win the Ballon d’Or.
