Roma are ready to take a step forward in their fight with Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce for Sevilla striker Youssef En-Nesyri.
The Giallorossi are searching for a new centre forward to bolster Daniele De Rossi’s attack following the departure of Chelsea loanee Romelu Lukaku. There are also doubts surrounding the future of Tammy Abraham, who could end up moving to Milan or a Premier League club.
Roma have identified En-Nesyri as a strong candidate but need to beat out competition from Fenerbahce, who are keen to continue strengthening Mourinho’s squad. The Turkish outfit have already sent in their first offer to Sevilla.
Page four of today’s Corriere dello Sport details how Roma are ready to send Sevilla an offer of close to €20m for En-Nesyri, hoping to obtain a slight discount on his €23-25m price tag. Fenerbahce’s offer was similar, keeping the race wide open.
The Giallorossi are also on the cusp of agreeing personal terms with the Moroccan striker, who’ll earn around €3m net per season including add-ons.
