Emre Can dismisses Manchester United speculation

Borussia Dortmund midfielder Emre Can has only been with the German giants for a total of eight games but his impressive performances have him linked to several top clubs, including Manchester United.

However, the 26-year-old has made it clear that he won’t be coming to Old Trafford in his future.

Can featured at Liverpool from 2014 to 2018, enjoying a very fruitful career before leaving for Juventus on a free, and his love for the Reds wouldn’t allow him to join their rivals.

“I would never play for United because of my time at Liverpool,” he told Sport Bild. “My heart would not allow it. The rivalry between those clubs is huge.”

Borussia Dortmund will buy the midfielder for €25m at the conclusion of his loan this summer.
