Empoli President Fabrizio Corsi has provided updates on the situations of two reported Inter targets, wingback Fabiano Parisi and midfielder Kristjan Asllani.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster Radio Marte, Corsi explained that the Nerazzurri have expressed interest in Parisi but not taken any formal steps to signing, while Asllani is a player who he hopes not to have to sell this summer.

Parisi has been linked to Inter for some time as a player for the left wingback position, especially in the event that Ivan Perisic is to leave the club at the end of his contract and a player is needed to compete with Robin Gosens for the position.

Meanwhile, Asllani looks to be one of the Nerazzurri’s top targets in midfield where they have identified him as a player who has the right profile to back up Marcelo Brozovic in the squad.

It remains to be seen whether Inter will make a decisive move for either of the pair, but they will have to make Empoli an offer that they are satisfied with if they are to do so.

Of the links between Parisi and Inter, he said that “We’re not yet in talks, but we’re at a point where they’ve made their appreciation know.”

“He’s a great athlete,” he said of the wingback, “he has a great foot and we expect a lot from him. It will be difficult for us to keep Parisi, but a financially significant offer will have to be made for us to be happy.”

He also spoke about the situation of Asllani, explaining that “Asllani has earned his place in Serie A, he’s convinced us all and we hope to keep him for another season.”
