Empoli assistant manager Salvatore Sullo commented his side 1-2 win over Roma at the Stadio Olimpico.
Sullo – who replaced Roberto D’Aversa in Empoli’s dugout tonight – spoke to DAZN at full-time.
“For us it’s a great result,” he said. “Our goal is long-term. We have to enjoy it but we have to understand that a great match was needed to get this result. To achieve these results everyone must give 100%.”
“We did well in the first half, we deserved the double lead. In the second half they came out, Vazquez was very good. We could have made it 3-0, there was a great save from Mancini. We have always been proactive, in the end the result and luck reward you.”
“We have a great goal and we must achieve it with our weapons, those of desire and suffering.”
