Emmanuel Eboue could be handed a career lifeline with reports suggesting the Ivorian is set to sign for LA Galaxy.

The 35-year-old last played a competitive match in 2014, but several sources including the Sun say that the veteran defender is likely to join the MLS giants.

Eboue last played in May 2014 for Galatasaray in their Turkish Cup final victory but was forced to leave the Istanbul giants when they reached their foreign player quota.

The former Arsenal man then signed for Sunderland but was banned by Fifa for 12 months having failed to pay his agent.

The Ivory Coast international agreed to then sign for Turk Ocagi Limasol in 2016 but failed a medical.

Stories claim though that the Galaxy are keen are will fly him to the west coast this week for tests.
