Emma Hayes has named her 26-player training roster for USWNT’s two friendlies against Iceland.
It is the Olympic gold medallist’s first game on home soil since their success, and 18 members of that squad return.
There is also places for Alyssa Thompson and Ashley Sanchez, who were part of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup team.
Hayes has also added six uncapped players to the roster, two of whom were at the Olympics but did not play in midfielder Hal Hershfelt and defender Emily Sams. They are joined by Eva Gaetino, Alyssa Malonson, Yazmeen Ryan and Emma Sears, who are rewarded for their strong NWSL form this season.
The Stars and Stripes take on Iceland on both Thursday October 24th in Austin, Texas and 27 October in Nashville, Tennessee.
