Milan legend Cafu tells his compatriot Emerson Royal to ‘play with the same personality he showed for Brazil’ months after a €15m transfer from Tottenham.
Emerson Royal has become a regular starter under Paulo Fonseca at Milan but is still looking for consistency in his new club.
“We know from our national team the potential and quality he possesses,” Rossoneri legend Cafu told the Rossoneri’s official website.
“I hope he does very well at this amazing club. He just needs to be himself and play with the same personality he showed for Brazil and in the games that led him to Milan. Good luck to him.”

Emerson Royal has played 17 games across all competitions for Milan this season but has yet to score a goal or provide an assist.
Cafu, a two-time World Cup winner with Brazil, is one of the best defenders in Serie A’s history.
He played for Roma and Milan, collecting 282 matches in Italy’s top flight.
The former Brazil international won the Serie A title at both clubs, first in Rome in 2000-01 and then at San Siro in 2003-04.
He also won the Champions League with Milan in 2006-07 and two UEFA Supercups, also with the Rossoneri.
The ex-right-back retired in 2008.
