This new-look Barcelona side in the post-Lionel Messi era seems to be brimming with talent and excitement. With the return of Joan Laporta as club president, there is hope and reason to believe that the club will turn back to its roots and ensure that the youth is what lays the stones for success.

And so far, there has been no lack of faith in the youngsters, to the credit of Ronald Koeman despite all his shortcomings. The youngsters have made Barcelona look energetic once more, and there is enough of them to form a side on its own.

This crop of youngsters will be led, of course, by the new number 10, the new symbol of hope for the Blaugrana in Ansu Fati. The electrifying 18-year-old has finally returned to action after over 10 months and he did so with aplomb.

In attack, he will also greatly benefit from the presence of Yusuf Demir, another extremely talented winger who can pick defenses apart once he finds a rhythm.

Barcelona also have a plethora of defensive talent to look toward in Sergino Dest, who enjoyed a spectacular outing vs Levante, Alejandro Balde, Eric Garcia, Oscar Mingueza and the impenetrable Ronald Araujo.

And of course, then comes the midfield, which is arguably the most stacked area when it comes to youth talent. Barcelona can boast of the likes of Pedri Gonzalez, who has fast risen to superstar status after his debut campaign, alongside the La Masia duo of Gavi and Nico, who were fantastic in their starts against Levante. Not to forget, fan-favourite Riqui Puig, who also impressed in his cameo on Sunday.

And all this youth is complemented by the slightly more experienced players like Frenkie de Jong who is still very young himself, and the bigger personalities like Memphis Depay and veterans like Sergio Busquets and Gerard Pique.

If managed properly, Barcelona have an incredibly exciting, fearless and future-proof squad at their disposal who can certainly compete at the highest level just a few years down the line, if not immediately.
