"We were able to gain plenty of confidence following our short training camp in Salzburg. Most recently, we were able to finally see our hard work rewarded against Dortmund. Next, we're coming up against Gladbach. They are a strong team and have several good options in attack. We drew 0-0 against them earlier this season. Now, we want to make sure to take all three points home to Leipzig with us."

"I've worked hard to get to this level. It wasn't an easy journey, but Marco Rose gave me the trust I needed. Last season, I didn't play much. That also helped to motivate me even more. The coaching staff know exactly where I still need to improve and we talk a lot about these areas. Now that I'm starting games more regularly, I also have a responsibility to fulfill. That's what's changed about my role within the team."
