Liverpool entertained Bournemouth at Anfield earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a good result at home in the Premier League. The Reds made a bright start to the game and got their noses ahead in the 37th minute thanks to Hugo Ekitike’s composed finish. Arne Slot’s men went into the half-time break 1-0 up on the scoreline.
Cody Gakpo doubled Liverpool’s advantage in the 49th minute. However, Antoine Semenyo got a goal back for the visitors in the 64th minute before scoring the equaliser just 12 minutes later. The Merseyside club came roaring back as they grabbed the lead again in the 88th minute when Federico Chiesa found the back of the net. Mohamed Salah killed the game off in injury time with a classy finish as Liverpool ran away with an entertaining 4-2 win on the night.
Let’s take a look at how each Liverpool player fared during the clash against the Cherries.
The Brazilian keeper distributed the ball well, but would not be happy after conceding twice in the second half.
RB: Jeremie Frimpong – 6.5/10
He performed his defensive duties well but was quiet going forward.

Konate cleared his lines when he could and was good on the ball. However, he should have done better to prevent Semenyo’s goal.
CB: Virgil Van Dijk – 8/10
The Dutch talent made a lot of crucial clearances at the back and was tidy with his passing.
