Sport1 report that although Premier League side Nottingham Forest submitted an opening offer of around €26m including bonuses to Eintracht Frankfurt for Djibril Sow, the 25-year-old has rejected a move.
The Switzerland international is happy at Eintracht Frankfurt and has two-years remaining on his current deal – a contract extension beyond 2024 also hasn’t been ruled out.
Although dreams of one day playing in the Premier League and a lucrative offer that would see Sow double his salary, the player wants to play Champions League football with SGE.
Speaking during the club’s training camp following their Europa League win, Sow said: “I’m not done yet. We have strengthened ourselves well and are ambitious. The road is far from over. It was always my big goal to play in the Champions League with Eintracht.”
Nottingham Forest have already spent over €50m on signings from the Bundesliga: Taiwo Awoniyi (Union Berlin)
