Bild reports that Eintracht Frankfurt have still yet to reach an agreement with Bayern Munich to allow Dino Toppmöller to become their new head coach.

Frankfurt are close to reaching an agreement with Toppmöller to take over from Oliver Glasner. While with Bayern, Frankfurt must agree on a fee for Julian Nagelsmann’s former assistant. Bayern are demanding €500,000 for Toppmöller however it is likely that the clubs will end up agreeing on €250,000.

If Frankfurt and Bayern are able to agree on a fee, Toppmöller could be announced as Frankfurt’s new coach as early as this week. While Glasner will leave his role as Frankfurt coach today after their 2-0 loss to RB Leipzig in the DFB Pokal.

This will be Toppmöller’s first job in a major European league as the 42-year-old has previously managed in Luxemburg and in the Belgian second division. Toppmöller has spent three years as assistant to Nagelsmann, first at Leipzig then at Bayern.
